RIYL: Quentin Tarantino, Soundtracks, the 90's

Label: Wargod

True Romance is a Quentin Tarantino penned, and Tony Scott helmed film from 1993 that includes Christopher Walken, Christian Slater, Val Kilmer doing an Elvis impersonation, Patricia Arquette, Dennis Hopper, and Brad Pitt in what has become the quintessential acting performance of his storied career.

The soundtrack contains a solid Hans Zimmer score mixed with tunes from the likes of Charlie Sexton, Shelby Lynn, Soundgarden, Robert Palmer, and Chris Issak.

This is the first time that it is available on vinyl and there are at least three variants.

The first of which is the most rare and is limited to 297 copies on Clarence inspired “king gold” vinyl. This is only available in one of the two limited edition boxsets(one of which is pictured above). The boxsets contain a litany of movie memorabilia and come housed in a hand numbered box and starts at $139.
Pay just $40 more, and at $179 you get the boxset pictured above. It also includes the Alabama inspired clear with aqua and pink splatter vinyl (limited to 686 copies) and blood splatter vinyl (limited to 2,000 copies).

You can also purchase just the Alabama inspired clear with aqua and pink splatter vinyl (limited to 686 copies) for 24.98.

There is no other mention of the blood splatter limited to 2,000 copies on the website. So my guess is that you may see some of that variant pop up in your local store. But that is strictly conjecture on my part.

The link below goes to the fancy boxset. On that page you’ll see the other links as well.

Tastes like a peach.
