So, when I was a kid the Dark Crystal kinda messed me up for a while. Probably my main issue with it was how creepy EVERYONE looks. Good folk, bad folk, doesn’t matter, they all appeared in my nightmares.
It eventually became a safe place for me to experience terror. I would watch it over and over while white knuckling the edge of the couch cushion trying hard not to look away. The 80’s, am I right??
These are done right, on beautiful colors and on heavyweight vinyl(180-200g). It also comes with a 24 page production booklet that includes never before seen photos and sketches. All around this looks like a gorgeous package. I just hope the new images won’t give me any nightmares.
This release contains the score composed by Trevor Jones who also is responsible for the score to the movie Labyrinth(which has the opposite effect on me in that I think it’s a hell of a lot creepier now that I’m an adult).
They’ve already sold out of a few variants, but if you act now you can still grab a copy of one of these lovely variants:
limited to 250 – Aughra Split
limited to 300 – Tri-Color Stripe
