Label: Sacred Bones Records

The effortlessly cool¬†John Carpenter, god of horror film scores and minimal synth punk, has a new collection of crowd favorite movie themes ranging from the timeless Halloween score to the highly underrated Starman, my personal favorite. ¬†If you’re tired of flipping through your massive Carpenter vinyl collection, then this consolidated anthology will literally add seconds to your life.

For the Carpenter fanatics, there’s a Halloween orange vinyl variant, limited to 500, that includes an additional 7″ and 13 7″ x 7″ prints by Chris Bilheimer featuring new art of the 13 themes on the album. ¬†That’s gonna run you a whopping $55, but I guarantee they won’t last through the week, maybe even the day. ¬†If you don’t need the additional 7″ or the prints, there’s another ‘anti-God green’ vinyl variant, limited to 500, that you can grab for $30. ¬†If you plan on seeing Carpenter on his upcoming tour, he’ll have another variant at his merch table, also limited to 500.
