RIYL: melodic acoustic folk

Label: Mom + Pop

Jordan Lee¬†has been recording music for the better part of the decade, but in 2013, his full-length Love’s Crushing Diamond hit our collective guts right in the heartstrings. ¬†Lee’s quivering vocal delivery and¬†soaring¬†acoustic guitar work was both blissful and melancholic, catapulting his group Mutual Benefit far in front of his many singer/songwriter peers. ¬†Within months of the album’s release, he was signed to an indie label and sent around the states on a tour, simultaneously selling out both his own¬†and the new label’s vinyl pressing. ¬†It’s safe to say that Skip a Sinking Stone, Mutual Benefit’s third full-length, is not going to disappoint us at Sly headquarters. ¬†We’re all big fans!

There’s also a package with some extra beauties, including a hand-stamped journal and an original photograph. ¬†That can be purchased HERE. ¬†Check out first single Not For Nothing below.
