RIYL: melodic acoustic folk

Label: Mom + Pop

Jordan Lee has been recording music for the better part of the decade, but in 2013, his full-length Love’s Crushing Diamond hit our collective guts right in the heartstrings.  Lee’s quivering vocal delivery and soaring acoustic guitar work was both blissful and melancholic, catapulting his group Mutual Benefit far in front of his many singer/songwriter peers.  Within months of the album’s release, he was signed to an indie label and sent around the states on a tour, simultaneously selling out both his own and the new label’s vinyl pressing.  It’s safe to say that Skip a Sinking Stone, Mutual Benefit’s third full-length, is not going to disappoint us at Sly headquarters.  We’re all big fans!

There’s also a package with some extra beauties, including a hand-stamped journal and an original photograph.  That can be purchased HERE.  Check out first single Not For Nothing below.
