Label: Vinyl Me Please
Twin Shadow been through the mill but after a tumultuous few years, he is back with a new album ‘Caer’. The album has already hit the stores, however, Vinyl Me Please has a silver version 2xLP that is sure to fly off the shelves because you don’t need to be a member to snag this. The other version is a webstore exclusive, but it doesn’t look to limited in my opinion but included a bonus track. Both version come with a clear flexidisc with Sympathy (ft. Rainsford). Check them out; get them if you like.
George Lewis Jr. of Twin Shadow is back with a new album, titled Caer. After undergoing reconstructive surgery from a bad accident back in 2015, Lewis was forced to adjust his creative approach. He revisited older material on his Night Rally mixtape, collaborating with Zeds Dead and Elliphant. Now Lewis is back, with Caer, collaborating with Haim on the tracks âLittle Womanâ and âSaturdaysâ. The albumâs title is Spanish for âto fallâ, alluding to Lewisâ inclination to fall into the next phase in his life, whether itâs in a musical, social or romantic way. Sometimes he feels that the only way to move forward is to take a leap of faith. Instrumentally, Caer is comprised of rich late 1980s and early â90s synths, paired with bouncing vocal harmonies.
