The proto-shoegaze outfit will have its seminal album, Psychocandy, reissued for Record Store Day this year. There’s really not much to say, since this album’s been around for nearly 30 years and The Jesus and Mary Chain is just a legendary band. All I can say is that if you’re not familiar with the band, I am almost certain that you’ve heard “Just Like Honey” which I’ve linked below in the YouTube video at least once in your lifetime. Price is not known at this time, and it’s not known whether this is a UK exclusive release. I guess the price will be found out when all of you hit up Record Store Day, or whenever the official site decides to post it!

The Details

The Jesus and Mary Chain’s 1985 debut Psychocandy will be reissued on a “paint splatter” vinyl edition for Record Store Day. The edition will be limited to 1,000 copies and bundled with an A3 reproduction of an early gig poster, available only at indie record shops on April 20. (via FACT magazine)
