Starflyer 59’s essential shoegaze debut Silver celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.  Let that one sink in.  Undoubtedly one of those most criminally overlooked albums of the 1990s, Jason Martin wove elements of post-grunge alt rock, shoegaze, dream pop and everything in between to make a sound all his own.  A few years too late to hit the massive wave of UK gazers, Silver was destined for the cratediggers and internet seekers.  Only recently has the project begun to get some serious recognition, making it into Pitchfork’s ‘Top 30 Shoegaze Albums’ list and topping many others.  It’s one of Tooth and Nail Records’ crowning achievements and it still sounds just as immediate as it did when it was released.

The OG pressing of this is ungodly expensive, so you can balk at the price all you want.  That’s an insanely good deal for all of you collectors that have been hunting this one down.  With only 500 of these pressed, don’t expect these to make it through June.
