RIYL: Reverends, Swervedriver, Adorable

Label: Stow House Records

In early 2020, Los Angeles popgazers Split Moon will be unleashing a whirling 8-track album inspired by their British shoegaze ancestry from the late 80s and early 90s. It swirls, it curls, it reaches for the heavens and it most certainly doesn’t scrimp on the volume levels. Tracks like It’s Alright assure me that this isn’t a run-of-the-mill shoegaze record, tossing a synth line into the melody and veering into brit pop territory. The guitar tones have a bedroom pop quality reminiscent of Pure X’s earlier work. Can’t wait to hear the rest of it!

Stow House Records has 100 copies of the record on red vinyl and 200 on black. Listen to two of the tracks below and grab some wax after the ‘buy’ link.
