RIYL: Washed Out, Small Black, Millionyoung
Label: Brothertiger
Brooklyn electronic indie rock artist John Jagos has been making music under the Brothertiger moniker for nearly a decade now, absorbing elements of downtempo, chillwave and ambient music and creating a sound all his own. After a string of E.P.s and a cover album of Tears For Fears’ Songs From the Big Chair, Brothertiger is readying his first full-length since 2015’s Out of Touch. Fans of the lush dancescapes from Washed Out, the swirling haze of Small Black and other forward-thinking chillwave artists will undoubtedly dig this stuff.
Self-released on a gorgeous purple, blue and bone vinyl colorway, the new album is called Paradise Lost and will be coming out in September. Listen to the first single Livin’ below and grab a copy of the wax after the ‘buy’ link.
