So yeah I’m a sucker for British rock / post-punk. I’ve loved The Vaccines from the first listen I heard “Post Break-Up Sex” back in 2010. Their last album continued me jamming right on through and I’m amped to be able to add a third to the catalog.
The first 2 singles deliver very different sounds. Handsome is very much a continuation of the “Come of Age” sound, where Dream Love is a much larger, almost ballad sound. I think many, myself included, will hear some sound that feels influenced by the latest Arctic Monkeys album in the Dream Lover track. Something I feel makes a very nice fit.
In simple, The Vaccines is straightforward British Rock here to rough you up a bit and I couldn’t be happier about it.
