Oh man, am I excited. Not only did The Dear Hunter just storm through town playing Act II and III, but they also announced their follow-up Act IV nearly six years since they released Act III. As of today (!) they have released the first track from their upcoming album. Entitled “A Night on the Town”, we find ourselves becoming reaquainted with our wandering narrator as he contemplates life, death, past, and future, all set on top of the wonderful sounds of horns, drums, violins, guitars and (of course) Casey’s wonderfully melodic voice. Best of all, bits and snippets of previous albums are intertwined into the song, showing that the tradition is continuing strong and LOUD. Get on this ASAP, or regret it forever. Who knows if it’ll take them another 6 years to repress this one?

Note: the more rare version (Oxblood/Sea Blue Haze) is available only in the $95 bundle, so be aware!
