RIYL: Wilco, Fleet Foxes, Grandaddy, Beach Boys, Nilsson, bittersweet summersounds

Label: Paper Trail Records

Austin, TX-based outfit Star Parks released this little gem of an album last friday, just in time to score your summer’s ups’n¬†downs!

Don’t Dwell is¬†an album packed with great tunes that sounds equally¬†familiar¬†as fresh, filled with clever arrangements and rock-solid pop melodies¬†perfect for¬†breezy trips in the golden afternoon. The production in here is absolutely brilliant, and heightens¬†the slightly psychedelic, folky Americana vibe to the point where it all becomes so very¬†delicate¬†and¬†irresistible. Mature and classic¬†enough to instantly pull your strings, yet playful and challenging enough to level¬†up with every spin. Highly recommended!

Check¬†out the album¬†underneath, and be sure to catch their brilliant live-rendition of “Theoretical Girls” from SXSW.

Released through Dublin based label PAPER TRAIL RECORDS in a limited edition of 300 copies on Translucent Baby Blue Vinyl.
