Notice the name; Michael Rault!  This Toronto-based multi instrumentalist is releasing his latest album “Living Daylight” worldwide on vinyl via Burger Records/Pirates Blend Records on May 5th. Where some of his previous efforts leaned more towards classic sounding 60’s R’nB, his latest album showcases a much more psych-pop/rock influenced sound. There’s still a lot of references to the 60’s in here, but from the tracks available it’s obvious that he has come up with a formula closer to the arrangements and production-techniques of contemporary psych-pop/rock artists like Tame Impala, Ty Segall, and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. He blends these inspirations with an affection for soulful grooves (and adds a tad of The Beatles in their psychedelic prime), proving to be a trained composer/arranger with a genuine taste for melodic hooks and solid musical craftmanship. A highly addictive recipe, this name will be on a lot of lips throughout this year!

The limited edition comes on Yellow with Blue Splatter Vinyl, and as usual with quality material on Burger Records these will not be available for very long!

Be sure also to check out his Cassette-single released by Burger Records a few months back, containing the outstanding non-album tracks “Nothing Means Nothing” and “Still Not Sad” streaming RIGHT HERE!

This tape is still vailable HERE!
