You know an album means business if it drops an F-bomb in the opening line. Following up their hit album “Fantasies”, which won a Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year, Synthetica is a progression toward a more introspective sound. As you could probably guess from the title, it’s a little heavier in the synth department, departing from that catchy pop vibe of “Help I’m Alive”. A little ghostier, eerier and with a couple tracks sounding damn-close to recent Muse, it’s a solid album with a few stand out tracks.

32 bucks is a hefty price for 11 tracks, but if you’re a Metric fan, these two slices of white-hot wax won’t disappoint.

Price – $32
