No this has nothing to do with the movie “Nebraska” that’s just received all kinds of Academy Award nominations. What is it, you ask? Hear Nebraska Vol.2 is a sampling of some of the cool music coming out of the state, simple as that. The music here spans several areas, including rock, hip-hop, folk and yes even some country. I’m not from Nebraska but Omaha is one of my favorite cities, largely because it has an incredibly deep creative culture that Hear Nebraska helps support.

The Details

Our second compilation album on solid-orange vinyl features 10 outstanding songs from Nebraska’s finest contemporary bands.

Limited to a mere 500 pressings, it’s sure to be a collector’s item.

The album art was designed by Eric Nyffeler, the guy behind Lincoln’s Doe Eyed, who — along with serving as HN’s art director — creates art daily for clients ranging from Gotye to Dave Matthews, Andrew Bird to The Black Keys.

The album was mastered by renowned Omaha engineer Doug Van Sloun (Focus Mastering). Doug and Eric donated their work to the project.
