RIYL: Jesus and Mary Chain, The Black Angels, Slift

Label: Little Cloud Records (US) The Acid Test (UK)

Sydney psychgazers Grinding Eyes are unleashing their sophomore assault this year with Taste The Monochrome, 11 razor sharp cuts immersed in lush reverb, heavy scuzz and swirling psychedelic witchery. Since their debut in 2017, they’ve toured with legendary acts like The Jesus and Mary Chain, Swervedriver and Dinosaur Jr. as well as the new school of stage incinerators like Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard and Pond. Essentially, Grinding Eyes has shared the stage with half of your record collection. Bend an ear below and listen to Until It Falls Apart and When the Night Falls, two scorching shoegaze numbers bursting with garage noise and dark waves of drone.

Little Cloud has the album on two variants, a splatter colorway limited to 150 copies and a black and white marbled slab limited to 250. They both compliment that bad ass cover art perfectly. Cardinal Fuzz in the UK is already sold out of their copies, so it’s now or never if you want one! Grab it after the ‘buy’ link.
