RIYL: Twin Peaks; the tv show

Label: Fainting Room Records

This is a very cool set. Not only is the music killer and sort of all over the genres of rock and experimental, but each band was partnered with a Seattle artist who developed the record sleeve design for that band.

In total you get 6 7″s from heavy hitters like:

He Whose Ox Is Gored
The Family Curse
Bali Girls
Haunted Horses

In total the series comes together in a way to highlight just how awesome and badass this collective really is. I love that as a group they focus on art in general and not just music. Definitely click through the link and check out the art work. I just spent the last hour getting lost in the individual visual artists’ websites.

For those of you in Seattle you also have a shot and tracking down one of these on Record Store Day.

Also if you are near Seattle then you should definitely check out the live band showcase part of this project at Chop Suey on May 20.

Sly writer Dylan Tracy will have a featured music review of this set up later this week. Definitely check that out as well!

The Details

Online orders ship with a black cotton screen-printed tote bag. The box set will also be available in limited supply in Seattle record stores for Record Store Day April, 16th 2016.
