Here’s an ultra-limited treat for you!  Electric Citizen is dropping their new 7″ over at EasyRider Records (or RidingEasy as they have recently changed their name to), and the title-track “Light Years Beyond” is amazing!  Their Cincinnati-bred 70’s heavy psych-rock meets 60’s west coast folk/psych-sound makes me crank up the volume each and every time I hear it. Think early Black Sabbath with witchily layered female vocals, and you’re pretty close to what they sound like! I’ve been waiting for some new material ever since they released a great, double 7″ last year (on The Crossing-label), and this new one delivers just what I was hoping for! And an album in June, I’m so in! They’ll be on the road in the US with Fu Manchu from late April to early June, so go check’em out live!  I know I would, if I weren’t in Oslo.
