NOTE: This is a Preorder
The Mylene Sheath have been a powerhouse when it comes to pressing beautiful wax for bands entering the vinyl community. The summer is here and the heat is real. With that in mind, our friends over at the Mylene Sheath have been busy pressing some summer heat into their latest record. Who better to attach needle to wax than the tone-heavy, driven Seattle rock band, Dust Moth, with their new LP, Scale?
Scale, Dust Moth’s second LP release, brings drone-heavy tones and eerie vocals into an evolved sound consisting of current and former members of XVIII Eyes, These Arms Are Snakes, Narrows, and Giza, along with the producer/sound engineer Matt Bayles. Irene Barber’s siren-like vocal melodies and eerie keys pull the listener into the sound of Dust Moth, as the moody drone tones of guitarist Ryan Frederiksen soothe you into the heart beat of Scale, along with bassist Steve Becker and drummer Justin Rodda. The evolving nature of Dust Moth is present in their track, “Lift,” where haunting vocals die out into an instrumental driven finish.
a girthful slab of majestic, melodic metal, elevated to a higher level by the dulcet, goth-grande-dame vocals of Irene Barber…” — The Stranger
