Hej Sverige! What’s with all the great psych, eh? Is it¬†your Wasa kn√§cks and P√•skmust,¬†or¬†your fascination of small¬†frogs and tripping out at Ikea?

Drone Rock Records¬†might have¬†been¬†puffing¬†the Swedish pipe, and is for their 20th release blowing¬†the sweet smoke of Domboshawa¬†to tickle your auricle.¬†Through¬†vast, open soundscapes, Domboshawa takes you on an interstellar trip that seemingly¬†effortlessly floats further into¬†space with every drone. Slow paced, groove based aviation to explore¬†new lands… buy the ticket, take the ride!

Domboshawa is in fact the brainchild of a single soul, the multi-talented Anders Broström from Stockholm, Sweden. How on earth he alone is able to produce, map and allign these powerful tracks is beyond me, but there might be higher forces at work in here.

The limited 2xLP-set features over 100 minutes of cosmic freak-out! Compiled from the 2 digital releases “Bejond Zero” and “Vibrations”,¬†spread across one Bright Orange- and one Bright Pink Vinyl. Housed in a matching artwork gatefold cover, this package¬†looks absolutely¬†stunning!

Some thoughts on his 20th release by the Drone Rock-Maestro himself, Adam Hamsworth;

When I started Drone Rock Records I never imagined that I‚Äôd get to 20 releases under my belt. But, amazingly, that is exactly where we are and, as its the 20th release, I thought it‚Äôd be worth doing something extra special. Therefore I am pleased to announce the first double vinyl LP on Drone Rock Records with the added bonus of it being recorded by one of the most well received artists I‚Äôve worked with‚Ķ.Domboshawa from Sweden. ‚ÄėBeyond Virations‚Äô is over 100 minutes of top rate Space Rock with Domboshawa‚Äôs signature blending of improvised mellow, blissed-out tracks with psychedelic freak-outs.

Domboshawa is the psychedelic solo project of Anders Broström from Stockholm, Sweden.
After the breakup of the hardrock/psych band Amaxa in 2015, Anders built a small studio in Hägersten and started to record drones and jams. His main goal was, and still is, to record very psychedelic music.
He named the project Domboshawa after an inspiring hike on the magic mountain Domboshawa in Harare Zimbabwe.
The first album Dark Lights was released on cassette on the Swedish label Ljudkassett! in October 2016.

In 2017 he released his first vinyl LP on Drone Rock Records titled ‚ÄĚMinds Electrix‚ÄĚ. He followed that with two digital releases, ‚ÄĚVibrations‚ÄĚ and ‚ÄĚBeyond Zero‚ÄĚ and every song bar one from the two of them will appear on the upcoming double vinyl album, ‚ÄúBeyond Vibrations‚ÄĚ, due to be released in November 2018 on Drone Rock Records.

Anders plays guitar, bass, drums and synthesizers.
