Here’s a unique designer – artist collaboration: David Bowie’s latest album released on limited red vinyl and “designed” by Paul Smith. Apparently Paul Smith picked the red vinyl color (did they really Ā need a designer to do that?) And if it gets dirty, is it dry clean only? Who knows. What we do know is there are only 1,000 available worldwide, and if you act fast you could possibly get a copy signed by Paul Smith himself.
The Next Day' limited-edition double album featuring exclusive transparent red vinyl, designed by Paul Smith for David Bowie.
We have 80 copies signed by Paul Smith, these will be sent out on a first-come-first-serve basis. The signed vinyls have had the cellophane removed in order for them to be signed, please let us know if you do not wish to receive one of these copies.
Limited to 1000 copies worldwide
Music is one of Paulā€™s great passions. He and David Bowie have been friends throughout their respective careers at the forefront of fashion and music. This year, Paul Smith has teamed up with Bowie for a series of special collaborations to celebrate the musicianā€™s critically acclaimed new album The Next Day.
"David Bowie has worn a lot of Paul Smith throughout his career and I was delighted when asked if I would design the T-shirt for The Next Day," Paul Smith.
Following the release of The Next Day T-shirt, the latest installment of the collaboration sees Paul and David working on a limited-edition version of The Next Day album. Featuring transparent red vinyl - a colour picked by Paul himself, results in an exclusive collectors edition double record and is the first red studio album in bowie's illustrious career.
