RIYL: The Low Frequency In Stereo / The Myrrors / NEU / The Doors / Electric Eye

Label: Kapitän Platte

Scandinavia’s premier purveyors of post-rock, psych and porridge is back!

Action & Tension & Space served us some ridiculously delicious spaced out instrumental lo-fi lounge with last years “Skåredalen Funhouse”, and their upcoming album Explosive Medtitations drops on October 4th via Kapitän Platte (DE).  The 3 tracks in here clocks in at aprx 40 minutes, and was recorded in the same sessions as “Skåredalen F”. The vibe remains dense and foggy, but these tracks feature a more improvised approach throughout. These cats truly knows how to make it interesting, and the outcome is a non-railed rollercoaster that stress the Tension and Space of their name. Grab yer headphones, light that incense and let the sounds of the first available tune “Mørke Skyer Over Sildabyen” guide your spirit safely through the harsh landscapes of Norway’s west coast, a trip that goes deeper with every spin!

If you’re into that White wax, go now! Probably not many left..

The Details

Action & Tension & Space is a spaced out instrumental lo-fi lounge outfit from Norway, consisting of members from bands like The Low Frequency in Stereo, Lumen Drones, Electric Eye, Soft Ride, Ape Club, Undergrünnen and the European backing band for Ryley Walker.
The three songs of this album (40 minutes in total) were recorded during the same sessions for the Skaredalen Funhouse LP from last year.
The songs are less structured and more improvised but of course in the same vibe.

If you combine the ambience from The Necks, the lounge feel of The Friends of Dean Martinez, and the travelling spirit of Neu mixed together in an apocalyptic The Doors vibe – then you get ATS!

The vinyl will be limited to 500 copies and comes in a gatefold sleeve. First 100 orders will get it on colored vinyl.

And during the pre-order we are giving away the first two The Low Frequency In Stereo – LP’s for a special price.

Price $20
