RIYL: Washed Out, Blood Orange, Small Black, Rhye
Label: Domino Records
Aaron Maine (a.k.a. Hipster Zach Morris) made his major label debut with Domino Records in 2016 with the critically-acclaimed Pool, a chilled-out experimental pop album pulsating with an eclectic mix of soul, house and indie rock influences that tossed him into the spotlight alongside artists like Blood Orange and Rhye. Maine makes synth-laden music that’s got enough groove to dance along with, but just enough atmosphere to eventually take that dance party to the bedroom.
The House is Porches third full-length, their second on Domino Records, and they’ve pressed a limited amount of pale yellow vinyl copies for you collector fiends. Check out the first two singles from the record below and snag some vinyl after the ‘buy’ link.
