The Ill Itches rocked their way onto the vinyl scene in 2014 with the release of a couple shit kickin garage-punk 45s.
This is their debut LP and it sounds fantastic. Check out lead single Rai Rai Rai below, it’s all that I’ve been listening to this morning.
The link leads to the limited to 100 Exorcism Variant. Which is on tri-color(red, black, white) vinyl with a unique linocut cover for each one.
If $30 is a little pricey for you have no fear! There are two other variants that are limited to 125 copies each(one is a very handsome looking splatter) and those are priced at $24 each.
If you don’t care about the bells and whistles then you can also grab the standard LP on red vinyl which is limited to 600 for a cool $16 and it’s not some bare bones standard LP either. It comes with one of those nice soft touch aqueous covers. I love the feel of those! I pet them while my record spins.
Welding the scuzzy guitar tone of early Stooges records with the scuzzy gospel of a defrocked evangelical minister, The ILL Itches are a rock ‚Äėn‚Äô roll band from Detroit. The quartet‚Äôs unconventional dual-frontmen attack consists of Stephen Schmidt (punk guitar) and Matt Mruzek (funk bass) sharing lead vocal duties, while Josh Woodcock (rhythm guitar) and Matt Livengood (drumming drums) keep all chaos in order. After forming in early 2013, the band rapidly established themselves as one of the Motor City‚Äôs most unique and incendiary live acts, earning them opening slots for the likes of Dead Kennedys, The Buzzcocks and Stiff Little Fingers. The ILL Itches have also completed a brief U.S. tour, sold out all copies of their two initial 7‚ÄĚ vinyl single pressings and been featured on multiple ‚ÄúBest of‚ÄĚ radio playlists featuring active Detroit-based bands. Hallelujah.
This is the ILL Itches' debut album with twelve tracks of solid rock 'n' roll, no holds barred.
