“The Cool Greenhouse, my new favourite post-everything existential music happening. Hooray!” – Henry Rollins

Rapier-tongued social commentary and lo-fi garage riffs with a post-punk snarl…Sounds like the perfect anecdote for our current (and hopefully temporary) anxiety-ridden news feeds and isolated worlds. The Cool Greenhouse has ample supplies of both, and after scattering a string of CDRs and 7″s over the last few years, the London-based band is finally ready to throw a fully-realized full-length directly towards your knee caps. Initially a much-more stripped down package, The Cool Greenhouse has ditched the drum machine for a live kit and traded the sparse DIY aesthetic for a fuller studio sound. Fans of jangly post punk and the brash spoken word from The Fall will find plenty to love here.

And get this. Every copy of the green vinyl comes with some “mystery seeds”. According to their Bandcamp page, “the first person to germinate their seeds and send the label a picture of their plant will receive the original album cover painting by frontman Tom Greenhouse! The person to grow the tallest plant by the end of the year will receive an exclusive mystery prize.” May the best collector win! Listen to the first single below and grab that vinyl after the ‘buy’ link.
