Alongside the 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea release, Alabama Astronaut has dropped a brand new 7″ from South Florida’s Sonic Graffiti! Garage? Funk? Punk? Who knows. It’s just a screaming good time every way you cut it! I hadn’t heard of these guys previously but apparently it won’t be long before they’re outside the region as they seem to be making waves in their South Florida scene!

Be sure to check these guys out and snag some rare pieces while you’re at it!

With this release, Alabama Astronaut has made only 75 ($13) copies available on Black w/ Yellow Splatter. The remaining 225 ($7) are on Black vinyl.

The Details

Sonic Graffiti – 7 inch E.P.

You can call this anything you want – garage, funk, punk – but those are simply descriptive of certain aspects of their sound. What you are getting is an explosion of the blues. And when I say explosion, I mean full-on, hydrogen bomb, apocalyptic explosion. It is chaos…. but let me be clear, not an undirected chaos. At the helm of this of this anarchy, like some kind of mad scientists, are 3 haunted, young bluesmen driving their tunes to the very edge. Screaming guitars. Shredded vocal chords. Controlled demolition. It is beautiful. It is rock’n’roll.

This extended player features almost 12 minutes of the finest from this St. Petersburg trio, who are making waves – big ones – in South Florida.
