RIYL: Ganser, Kitten Forever, Minority Threat, Screaming Females

Label: Romanus Records

Cincinnati cello-rock art punk duo LUNG have teamed up with Dayton post-rock trio SKRT for a split album bursting at the seams with gorgeous cacophony and a refreshing DIY ethos. This one grabs metal, post-punk, hardcore and experimental noise by the short hairs and pummels them into submission for a razor sharp new sound. Angular rhythms, gutteral vocal treatments and guitar wizardry blanket every corner, so tread lightly. This ain’t background music.

Romanus Records sold the living hell outta this thing today and every variant has been snatched up except for this gorgeous splatter colorway. It’s limited to only 150 copies and will most likely be gone by the end of the weekend, so if you’re liking this one…don’t wait. Check out the entire split album below and grab a slab after the ‘buy’ link.
