UMO is unafraid to dig deeper than the rest to lock into their intoxicating, opiate groove and bring rock’n’roll’s exaggerated myths to life. Written during a punishing, debauched touring schedule during which Nielson feared for both his sanity and health, II illustrates the emotional turmoil of life on the road, painting surrealist, cartoonish portraits of loneliness, love and despair.

Agreed, if your going to reissue a limited edition at least make it compliment the artwork, I don't think many people who already own this on black vinyl will be reaching for their pocketbook. However, this is an excellent album and those who don't own it already should grab a copy.

Agree with Chris. Not really sure of the reason for this when the original is readily available. It's a good album but this just seems like a cash grab for people that HAVE to have color. It's not like a special "album anniversary" or anything like that.

When it comes to colored wax, white vinyl tends to have the most inherent sound quality issues for some reason. I've never had a great experience with anything pressed on white vinyl (A Moon Shaped Pool, Islands' Return to the Sea, Heartless Bastards' All This Time, the list goes on).

Maybe someone can chime in on why white vinyl tends to sound so much worse? I also wonder if it's a cheaper choice at the pressing plant than other color options.

I've heard of the noise issues associated with white vinyl, but I have to admit it's a favorite of mine. Especially when it works with the artwork, like on A Moon Shaped Pool, or In the Mountain, In the Cloud.

That said, I'll stick with the original on this, because first pressing > color pressing.

I feel this is constantly reiterated here, but Newbury needs to cut it out with the meaningless limited color exclusives of albums that don’t need pressings -__-
