Label: The Acid Test Recordings / Little Cloud Records
North Carolina fuzz trio Nest Egg describe their sound as “mood music for nihilists”, an aural potion of krautrock, post punk and psychedelic noise. Somewhere along their decade-long journey in the band, Harvey Leisure, Ross Gentry and Thom Staton discovered the delicate balance between weightlessness and crushing heaviness, teetering and swirling between both forces like a semi-truck spinning in a tornado. The ethereal atmospheres embedded in their tracks collide head-on with the pummeling drive of their rhythm section, a dazzling assembly of tone and vibe best heard with a pair of headphones.
Dislocation is their brand new record coming out in early July. Check out their first track below and head through the ‘buy’ portal to Little Cloud Records to pick up a copy on red vinyl. There’s also a bundle containing their newly reissued 2018 LP Nothingness is Not a Curse. UK folks, head over to Acid Test Recordings HERE to grab yours.
