RIYL: Dead Meadow, Hookworms, Quest For Fire

Label: White Dwarf

Toronto psych juggernauts Holy Mount are back with their 4th full-length of galactic stoner romps, their second release on the German-based White Dwarf label.  They define themselves as “a heavy band from the frigid, windy great lakes, channeling the mystery of the great north”, and holy hell do they bring the fire.  The guitar work in these tracks are the real blue ribbon pig here, crushing absolutely everything in their wake. Danijel Losic’s vocals dissipate into the fuzz like livestock in a tornado while Troy Legree punishes his kit with a righteous anger.  Put your headphones on and dive into this thing.  Blackened Log even includes some synthesizers to the mix.

White Dwarf has 150 copies of the album on yellow wax, and if you miss out on those, there’s an additional 350 slabs on black.  Check out the entire album below.
