Aquired a craving for Death And Vanilla yet?  Their 2nd album “To Where The Wild Things Are” dropped via Fire Records on May 4th, a deep maelstrom of moody, haunting kraut-lullabies. This is by far the most beautiful album I’ve encountered this year, and after countless spins it never ceases to amaze me. Their perfect blend of psychedelic baroque-pop is full of exquisite surprises, and many ways fills the gap caused by the absence of new material by Broadcast and Stereolab.

Pre-orders are now up for their “California Owls” EP, releasing August 21. via Fire Records (UK) on a Limited Edition of 1000 copies on Green Vinyl. The EP features the title-track and “Follow The Light” (both of the recent album), and includes the non-album tracks “Erté” and “Reality From Dream” (who could be found on the bonus CD if you were fast enough to snag one or both of the limited colored versions of the album).

Considering the fuzz the album stirred up, and the short period of time the limited colored versions were available, I urge you to get in on this beauty while you can. Expensive yes, but worth every damn penny. Fact!
