Tides Of Man, from Tampa, FL, is most known for their work as a progressive rock band – which includes vocals (i.e. Dreamhouse). With that sound, the band was considered to be more along the lines of a emo/indie rock.

With their latest piece of work, Young and Courageous, we see these guys delving into a completely different direction. So much so that I actually thought these were two different bands when I compared Dreamhouse to Young and Courageous. The new record is very much post-rock. It is entirely instrumental and full of all the depth that accompanies such a freedom.

With the departure of vocalist Tilian Pearson back in 2010, the band had to figure out the next step. With this instrumental release, I feel as though they’ve found a very comfortable position for themselves.
