I will admit. This pressing has been available for some time. A time long before I ever had the opportunity to contribute to Sly Vinyl. Here goes a long overdue post!
With that being said, this album should not go unnoticed, nor should the label behind it. ITTCT is a band that exemplifies this genre-type we have and know as post-rock. AtE, BtS showcases delicately and thunderously profound instrumental tracks of sprawling guitars and deep, thoughtful, and at times ambient, silences amid beautiful harmonies that empower this release like a roller coaster ride. And, as you might imagine, this album provides quite a venture along the expansive soundscapes that are produced!!
I’ve said it many times when posting about albums within this genre, give it a THOROUGH LISTEN! These tracks are meant to be heard all the way through!! What you hear in the first minute or two is simply a tease into the beauty that is the finish. For those of you who may know more lime-lighted acts such as Explosions in the Sky or Mogwai, well, this is a band flying under the radar that would sit right next to those records in your collection!!
Give it a listen, you’ll be glad you did!
This is the last remaining variant of ANY album from ITTCT via The Mylene Sheath — once this is gone, their catalog will be entirely sold out via the label. Maybe a repress to come? I sure hope so! You’ll hear about it right here on Sly Vinyl!!
