Today I bring you the debut LP from Black Clouds, Everything Is Not Going To Be OK!!

Everything Is Not Going To Be OK starts off slow and with purpose as the band focuses heavily and precisely on a foundation that this album builds fervently from — a sound that is never imposing yet mysteriously and deeply inviting. Each track carries forward in such a varying manor that you will always be curious as to what’s next and certainly entranced along the way at the instrumental power and atmospheres unveiled. Black Clouds is very noticeably confident throughout this release which leads to an almost impatience as to what we can expect from them in the future! Filled with chilly ambiance and psychedelic atmospheres, Everything Is Not Going To Be OK will find itself on repeat as you try to seek out answers to the questions that they pose!!

The progressive nature, and overall impact, that this record has on the post-rock listener is something to be admired; especially for those of you who may be bigger fans of Explosions in the Sky or Caspian. Give it a listen and you’ll see what I mean…

This release comes from a total pressing of 500 copies, all hand-numbered; remaining stock is 150 on Translucent Red and 300 on Black.

The Details

Black Clouds' 2012 debut album, finally available on the only format that matters! DC's Black Clouds make music to remind you that post-rock isn't all about sunshine and fucking rainbows. They refer to themselves as "a loud, massive bumout" and to my ears that's a pretty accurate description. Imagine a more post-rock, sinister The Cancer Conspiracy paired with Godflesh-esque bass tones and the vibe of Godspeed You! Black Emperor at their most negative and you'll start to get the idea. Featuring guest ranting and ravings by Neil Fallon of Clutch. Everything is not fucking going to be OK.

Limited to 500 hand-numbered copies on Red/Black Swirl, Translucent Red and Black vinyl. Each LP comes with a free digital download of the album.
