Fire Records are really heating up some good stuff these days (I sincerely hope you checked out the Death and Vanilla-album they’ve got coming out next week!)!  On May 18th, they’re lighting up the deluxe edition of Virginia Wing‘s debut-album “Measures of Joy” (originally released digitally late 2014), which is quite the Camberwell Carrot! The South London-based group provides an exquisite blend of indie/psych/kraut/baroque-pop with elements of avant-garde and shoegaze, that is somewhat complex yet darn soothing. Close comparisons would be the sounds of Broadcast and Stereolab, and it’s safe to say that if you’re fond of these this one is an absolute must!!! A highly rewarding listening experience, be sure to check it out for yourself!

The Limited Deluxe Edition is baked on beautiful half and half Orange and Blue Vinyl, and limited to 500 copies.

Measures Of Joy is the debut album from South London based group Virginia Wing. The album is a work of psychedelic majesty that avoids the rockist trappings that many contemporary bands fall into; speaking to everyday anxiety and isolation and in contrast, seeking to evoke an inner world of pastoral fortification.
