Somewhere in a brittle Brooklyn apartment in the summer of 2016, a broken-bodied Alex Toth, confined to his small space in cast and crutches, began his ascent out of the darkness by writing the 11 tracks that would become Practice Magic And Seek Professional Help When Necessary.  A jazz trumpeter by training, Alex began to unspool his music theory into his bedroom studio, trying out new instruments and stripping the definitions of ‘the song’ into its rawest forms.  Not even aware that he was essentially composing an album, Alex ended up with his first full-length, now up for preorder and available in early April.  It’s harmony-driven chamber pop, it’s fireside acoustic sonnets, but most importantly, it’s a person figuring out who they are.  Based on the three available tracks, I absolutely can’t wait to hear the rest.  Top notch songwriting.

Limited to a mere 100 copies, grab a slab of white vinyl after the ‘buy’ link.  For one dollar cheaper, you can also snag the album on black vinyl.  Something for every listener, right?  Check out the music video for Songs to Make You Fall in Love With Me below.
