Label: Loma Vista Recordings

The world is a crazy place at the moment. At least we still have killer grooves to get down to, and Sylvan Esso is here to give it to us. Following up their popular “What Now”, Sylvan Esso is back with some groovy new tracks and an entire full length full of danceable beats and sultry singing. The first two singles off of the ablum, “What If” and “Ferris Wheel” show that they still parade in the sounds of distortion, heavy beats and introspective lyrics. Just what I need to keep on keeping on.

As the band puts it, “It’s a record about being increasingly terrified of the world around you and looking inward to remember all the times when loving other people seemed so easy, so that you can find your way back to that place”. Let’s hope we can all someday find that place together, but until then we’ll use good music to push through.
