Chamber pop group Miracles of Modern Science are releasing what appears to be their fifth album, MEEMS, this coming Tuesday. “The Singularity,” the only song available for the moment from MEEMS opens with a mandolin plucked in staccato and an intriguing line that goes “By the time we all go deaf,  I know that we’ll find a cure for it…” With a cymbal fill, and the rest of the quintet joining in, the song takes on a very bright and energetic mood. If the rest of this album takes on similar characteristics to “The Singularity” then this is looking to be a very promising and fun release for this year. The band details that the B-side of MEEMS will have an etching, but it’s not clear what will be etched on to the B-side. You better pre-order this to see for yourself.
A limited, hand-numbered edition of 200, with exclusive hand-printed artwork by Evan including an etched B side.
Please note: colors and print quality may vary from the pics.
Pre-order includes immediate download of 1 track in your choice of MP3 320, FLAC, or other formats. A link to the complete album will be emailed to you the moment it’s released.
