After a few new tracks began trickling into our radar last month, the criminally underrated Swedish dream pop duo I Break Horses have officially announced a new record titled Warnings, their first full-length since 2014. As expected, the musical landscape has changed dramatically in six years, but Maria LindĂ©n and Fredrik Balck’s cauldron of lush, cloudy dreamgaze still sounds as perfect as it did when they wooed crowds opening for M83’s Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming tour almost a decade ago. Of the three available songs below, there isn’t a second of filler. It’s heavenly synthscapes and ethereal vocal layers from start to finish. I’m penciling it in for 2020’s Top Ten just in case the other songs are as good.
Bella Union has a limited supply of clear vinyl after the ‘buy’ link. Although no quantity has been specified, I would imagine there’s at least 1000 copies. At least. Give the tracks a spin at your leisure and snatch some wax if you’re digging it as much as me.
