UPDATE – You can also order a pink vinyl variant limited to 500 through Last Gang Records HERE.

Electric Youth.  The name just oozes 1980s, doesn’t it?  From the twinkling synth lead-in to the drippy, whispery female vocal outro, their first single Innocence gives you nothing BUT.  It’s as much of an homage to the neon decade as M83’s recent 2 full lengths or the Drive soundtrack (of which they contributed with “A Real Hero”, arguably the best song used in the film).  The lyrics (shooting stars, rain falling, voices calling), the soft porn guitar leads and that f-ing unforgettable synth bass…this is a band that is not afraid of tackling over-the-top cheese and making it lovable all over again.  Just look at that album cover, man!

For $26, you get the record, the 7” and the CD.  Who knows…maybe they’ll throw in a pack of Bonkers and some roller skates.  Dream big.
