Carlos Hernandez, one of four vocalists for Ava Luna, has a voice that is a bit hard to come across it seems. The only other vocalist I could possibly compare Hernandez to is Andrew Whiteman, of whom I’m quite fond of. Hernandez, like Whiteman, has the right amount of rasp (I’m not sure I could call it that – I have a hunch that there’s a better descriptor for it) to where it’s not obnoxious and overbearing but lightly rough. Anna Sian, Becca Kauîfman, and Felicia Douglass play support to Hernandez extremely well. The production on this thing isn’t half bad, either. Give “Wrenning Day” and “Fixed” a listen below via the Bandcamp player and see what you think of them. As far as copies of the clear vinyl still being available, I’m not too sure. Cheers!
