You know, as much as I’d like to expound on Indian Summer, there’s next to no information about them. They didn’t even name ANY of their songs, leaving fans to figure out names for themselves. All I know is that Marc Bianchi played with this post-hardcore emo band before he began the majestic project known as Her Space Holiday; calling Her Space Holiday a polar opposite to Indian Summer would be an understatement. I bought Science 1994, Indian Summer’s only proper album, on limited edition from these guys a little while back. Hidden Arithmetic is another album of sorts, but it takes Science 1994’s tracks played live in a set along with a live radio session the band played. From some reading around, these guys were very monumental in the Bay Area emo scene. Check out “Angry Son” below for some raw and raunchy post-hardcore or better yet, check out the album streaming on Bandcamp – however, the tracks are all under different names and, in case you don’t notice, form a statement when read in order.
