RIYL: Cymbals Eat Guitars, Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Titus Andronicus

The Hold Steady’s hit 2006 album is getting a 10 year anniversary treatment on a limited color vinyl, including some unreleased and demo songs from the making of BAGIA. Continuing more stories about Holly and her friends drinking, partying, being introspective, and feeling the angst that is being young, The Hold Steady really polished off the sound from Separation Sunday and created something more approachable, if less poetic, but still completely unique and their own. If you haven’t heard of The Hold Steady (how dare you) this is the album to check out. And if you have heard of THS, then what are you waiting for? I’d imagine this is going to go quick.
