Auckland auteur and composer of majestic melodies, Princess Chelsea, has returned to Earth for a second full-length ripe with synth-laden sci-fi pop. Her 2011 debut LP Lil’ Golden Book is already a coveted collector’s item, and for good reason. Her brand of dreamy ballads blend the otherworldly side of Cocteau Twins, the playful vocal swoons of Grimes and the harmonic wizardry of Beach House and Lower Dens.
Her latest endeavor can be streamed in its entirety below, and I’d suggest putting some weights around your chair so you don’t float into the clouds. It’s a genuinely heavenly listen, and I wouldn’t wait long on the limited vinyl. Mmmm…nebula-colored wax. Out of sight. I think I love her?
