This one’s a bit close to my heart.  From 2006-2007 I played in Peter’s band.  We had the privilege to play SXSW in both years and got to do a bit of touring across the country.  After 20 years of playing music, I can honestly say that this is the only band I’ve been in that I still love the music as much now as I did then.  Also in Peter’s band at the time was Walk The Moon guitarist Eli Maiman.  Peter is a transcendent talent and his music is like honey for the ears… so sweet and smooth, but once it’s on you it sticks.

With all the drama of an ethereal movie soundtrack, Adams’ songs brilliantly merge his classical training (he started playing the violin at age three) and the inevitable teen-punk backlash. On his latest, I Woke With Planets in My Face, the hyperliterate Adams composes folksy pop tunes solo and translates them into full-band symphonies.
