You may have heard of Nick Diamonds. He is one third of the Unicorns, whose album “Who Will Cut Our Hair When We’re Gone?” was reissued on vinyl last year and is perennially sold out (because it’s awesome). He has since been in various other bands (Islands, Th’ Cornn Gang) including one with Michael Cera (Mister Heavenly), and he also happens to be the composer of the score to the most popular podcast of all time, Serial.
He also apparently put out a solo LP called “I Am An Attic” in late 2012, to little or no fanfare. It’s pressed on 100 white (sold out) copies and 200 black copies which are still available for a very reasonable 17 dollars shipped. Check it out for yourself and see if you like it. If you already like Nick Diamonds’ brand of quirky indie pop, this should be an easy decision.
