RIYL: Joanna Gruesome, Beverly, Tacocat

Label: Reeks of Effort and Tuff Enuff Records

It Must Be Grubs, the debut album from Bristol, U.K.’s Grubs is a quick 20 minutes of jangly indie emotion. Nothing too complicated here, which seems to be their goal: just 11 well constructed pop-punk songs that will echo in your brain long after the record has stopped playing.

Yes I realize shipping to the U.S. is outrageous for this one. I’ve reached out to both labels to see is we U.S. fans have any other options, and I’ll update the post if I get any updates.

(Note: I’m posting the link to Tuff Enuff Record’s Bandcamp page as it is the only one that lists the vinyl as yellow. The record can also be picked up here, but it isn’t listed as yellow on that link.)
