RIYL: Can, Neu!, Junior Boys

Label: Fujiya & Miyagi

Brighton krautrock revivalists Fujiya & Miyagi’s sophomore album Transparent Things was not only their big international breakthrough record, but an introduction to the motorik style for many music listeners who’d never heard Can or Neu! before.  Their infectious basslines melded with David Best’s whispered staccato vocal delivery to create a strangely addictive krautdisco formula that they still draw from today.

Over a decade after its release, Transparent Things is finally getting a vinyl treatment.  Keep in mind that these are shipping from the UK, so prices will be slightly higher for you statesiders.  If you haven’t heard this album before, do yourself a favor and check it out below!
