RIYL: Speedy Ortiz, Snail Mail, Diet Cig, Joanna Gruesome

Label: Hardly Art

Seattle indie rock 4-piece Chastity Belt are set to release their third full-length this summer, their second album with Hardly Art Records.  Annie, Gretchen, Julia and Lydia write jangly guitar-driven songs with a hint of melancholy and a subtle dose of slacker gen-x ethos.  Their song structures and sunny guitar harmonies are reminiscent of Albert Hammond’s early Strokes’ material, but their songwriting style is much more personal.  If you’ve been getting into newer groups like Diet Cig and Snail Mail, Chastity Belt should definitely be on your radar.

Check out their latest single below and grab the limited first pressing of the album after the ‘buy’ link.  No word of the quantity pressed or the color of the vinyl yet.
