Just over a year ago, Dave Lamb, co-founder of the Providence folk duo Brown Bird, died from leukemia.  Not only was Lamb a much-revered talent in the folk scene here in the states, but he was an advocate of better healthcare benefits to musicians.  While he was alive, he created a unique blend of indie rock, folk and world music, treading through challenging chord structures and key progressions.  MorganEve Swain’s vocal harmony blended flawlessly with Lamb’s rich resonance, and thankfully, they were able to sing together once more for this posthumous collection of unreleased work.

Needless to say, this is something very special, and a grandiose sendoff to an extraordinary songwriter that was taken from us too soon.
